Just as in the previous years, the carpet manufacturers, mainly from Iran, have taken the Doha Trade Fair by storm for another year. This year, there is a huge rise in the quantity of carpets set for sale during the 10-day event, in comparison to other quantities displayed by the exhibitors in the previous years. Persian carpets are very much in demand not only within the region, but across the world. Another maker from Tehran said that they exported carpets worth several millions to most parts of the world, and Qatar has always been a good market for display of his products. Other countries such as Pakistan’s Quetta in Baluchistan, and Turkish carpets with their remarkable patterns are all available for sale at the venue.
The Doha Trade Fair 2012 will continue until 10th January, wherein opening times are from 11am to 10pm daily and on Friday from 2pm to 10pm. However, the 2012 edition is being held with strategic partnerships of Seqlia, Batteel, Tents and Al-Mutakamelah.
