Ashghal building playgrounds and parks

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is spreading awareness in the society on matters such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle through increase in number of playgrounds and public parks in the city.

Highlighting the projects undertaken by Ashghal, the Head of Media Section, Public Relations Department, Hassan Abdullah Al Mohammadi, said that the projects that are underway were as per the Five Year Plan.

Al Mohammadi mentioned that they aim to provide sufficient facilities to people so that they could indulge in sports any time, at any place suitable to them. He pointed out that there are already several football playgrounds at residential areas for children below 15 years of age.

He commented that Ashghal, being an executive body, the role is to provide facilities, rather than allowing other concerned bodies to spread awareness regarding its utilization.
