Pearl Qatar commercial space 60 percent leased out

Commercial space at Medina Central and Porto Arabia in Pearl Qatar area has been 60% leased out, and more space will be leased out in the coming weeks, said Ehab Kamel, the General Manager of Retail Leasing.

The leasing of space has been encouraging, which reflects the growing demand from high-end retail brands, he said, when speaking during an event, held to mark the opening of eight world-renowned restaurant brands and luxury fashion outlets.

With commercial spaces of about two million square feet ready at Porto Arabia and Medina Central, the Pearl Qatar will aggressively pursue its expansion plans, he added.

Al Siddiqi Holding, with which the deal has been signed, will open an Italian restaurant brand ‘Biella’ and ‘Lord of Wings’ restaurant at Medina Central, apart from ‘Tike’, a Turkish restaurant franchise.

The deal to open world-renowned restaurant brands and luxury fashion outlets were signed by Ehab Kamel, General Manager - Retail Leasing at The Pearl Qatar and Ali Delawar, Board Member of Al Siddiqi Holding.

Among the other plans of Al Siddiqi Holding are opening of luxury fashion and hospitality brands at The Pearl Qatar, including the elegant Lebanese restaurant, Wafi Gourmet. It will also open an unisex fashion outlet, Frankie Garage and Migato, a shoe and leather store, apart from opening Kas, the Australian brand that specializes in home furnishings and household items.

The Pearl Qatar is an elegant and unique shopping destination of world reputation and stature, and the global series brands will surely contribute to the reputation of the island as a destination for tourist and shoppers alike, Ali Delawar said.
