Special weekend getaway flights in Dubai-Doha route by Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways has announced the addition of special weekend getaway flights to help make the weekend trips easier for people commuting between Doha and Dubai.

These new flights have been introduced from 3rd October 2016. The flights are aptly timed, so as to make the most of the weekend, with departure on Thursday afternoon at 15:50 from Doha, and arriving Dubai International Airport at 18:00 local time. The Dubai flight leaves at 19:00 and arrives at Doha at 19:10 local time. Similarly Saturday return travellers can depart Doha at 14:50, and arrive at Dubai at 17:00, or leave Dubai at 18:00 and arrive in Doha at 18:10.

The special weekend flights are in addition to 19 other daily flights by Qatar Airways, serving Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central.

The Senior Vice President of Qatar Airways, Commercial Middle East, Africa and Pakistan, Ehab Amin, said that Qatar Airways has designed a flight schedule with passenger needs in mind, offering flight times to and from Dubai to suit their needs. Further, we know the importance of weekend getaways for people living in Dubai and Doha, so this special flight only adds to their convenience. Moreover, the additional flight makes connections to destinations beyond Doha, making it easier for people in Dubai travelling to the Indian subcontinent and Far East.

He further added that this additional frequency comes following launch of new Dubai Premium Lounge by Qatar Airways, which will enrich the experience of our passengers and is proof of airline’s commitment to the local market and valued UAE customers.

At Present, Qatar Airways offers 15 daily flights to Dubai International Airport, four daily flights to Dubai World Central. The airline launched new Dubai Premium Lounge during the official opening of Dubai International Airport’s Concourse D this year, further strengthening its presence in Dubai. This serves as an exclusive retreat to passengers shuttling between Dubai and Qatar, while waiting in the ultra-modern concourse D.
