Qatar Ministry reveals details of e-travel authorization for on-arrival visa

Interior Ministry of Qatar has just made an announcement about e-travel authorization for on-arrival visa.

It has been informed that the e-travel authorization is applicable to all nationalities holding a valid residence permit or visa on nations such as the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Schengen nations and GCC nations.

However, to avail this facility, application will have to be submitted on the website (www.qatarvisaservice.com).

The following documents are required as prerequisite:

Evidence of hotel booking or any other form of accommodation, Copy of passport with at least six months validity, and also going forward tickets are to be produced. 

A copy of the residence permit or entry visa to the above nations with validity of at least 30 days is required.

On approval of the application, applicants will be given an e-notification with 30 days validity, which can be renewed online for validity of an additional 30 days.

With e-travel authorization, travellers to Qatar can acquire a free visa on arrival, allowing them to stay in Qatar for upto 30 days in a single visit. This can be extended online for additional 30-days during a similar visit. But, once the tourist leaves Qatar, he/she may be required to apply for new travel notification before returning to Qatar.
