Qatar Summer Festival opens with major attractions for families and shoppers

The fifth edition of Qatar Summer Festival, with the theme Colour Your Summer, held at the Doha Exhibition Centre is drawing nationals and residents alike, and has grown to be a major attraction for kids, given, the exciting games and entertainment for families.

All the participating malls in the festival have set up a special free entertainment show for shoppers and families seeking some indoor fun. The shows have been performed thrice a day in shifts, on all the participant malls during the three days of Eid Al Fitr.

The Entertainment City is a part of the festival activities, and is a favourite destination for the kids. The key features of the city include world’s largest bouncy castle, an ice skating rink, an 18-hole mini golf course, video games, skill games and other entertainment shows.

Further, there is the food court with over 40 outlets to indulge in and the Summer Shopping Souq has more than 140 stores to explore.

The Visitors to the city also get to view the thrilling FIFA World Cup 2018 matches on the huge screens, while enjoying food and beverages and other shopping options. The individual game prices range from QR10 to QR35.

With a QR150 gold pass, one can access about forty rides as per visitor’s choice, and access five VR games.  The gold pass can also be purchased online.

This year opens up another facility called ‘Season Pass’, worth QR699, and this is open for online purchase and at the venue. On purchase of this special pass, you can get a Gold Pass on daily basis with all its features. This pass allows unlimited number of visits to the Summer Entertainment City till 31st August. The Season Pass is valid for just one person and cannot be transferred to multiple people.

The shops at the festival are offering amazing discount offers. There are ‘buy one get one free’ and ‘buy two get two free’ and 20 to 50 percent discount on many items. The participating malls include Al Mirqab Mall, Al Khor Mall, Doha Festival City, B square Mall, Hyatt Plaza, Gulf Mall, Landmark Mall, Lagoona Mall and Mall of Qatar.

This year Qatar Summer Festival can be enjoyed with the new ‘QSF Summer Pass’ mobile application that serves as a comprehensive guide for all events, offers and happenings under a single umbrella, to be launched on 22nd June.

During the festival all the four-star and five-star hotels in Qatar would also provide a range of offers and discounts on beach, pool access, brunches, accommodation, and spa treatments.

The festival which was unveiled on 14th June would conclude on 31st August 2018.
