Ezdan to develop 4200 low-budget housing in Qatar
A Qatari shareholding company, Ezdan Real Estate, has ventured into a project of development and construction of 4200 residential units for low and middle income category people.
An approval for increase in ceiling for non-Qataris holding 49 percent of total share of the company, was done during the Annual Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meeting of the company.
A few of the major projects developed by Ezdan are the Dafna Residential Tower, Al Hitmi Buildings, Mushreib Residential Complex, and Al Zabara Villa Compound, apart from the two big malls located at the Al Wakra and Al Garrafa areas.
The CEO of Ezdan, Khalid Mohammad Jolo, when speaking to the press, revealed that the project has already completed its designing stage, and the construction is due shortly.
The project, which will be located in Al Wakir area, is worth QR1billion, and is due to be complete by mid 2009.
He mentioned that the procedure to be adopted for awarding of the houses is yet to be decided.
Following this project, Ezdan also plans to venture into a project involving construction of four commercial complexes, the biggest of its kind in the Middle East.
