Students inspired by Al Waab City

Al Wa’ab City Management, one of the leading real estate developers in Qatar, recently hosted a group of 30 students from Stanford University of USA to give them an overview about the mega project of the company – Al Waab City.

Following a seminar, including presentation of the infrastructure and management of the project, the students were given a guided tour of the villa construction site of Al Wa’ab City.

The Vice President – Project Management, Ebrahim Al Mohannadi, welcomed the candidates and briefed them about the project.

The students visit to Al Wa’ab was for an opportunity to learn more about the issues pertaining to development, concept and fruition of objectives, regulatory constraints and fiscal realities of such a project.

The students were presented with a detailed overview on health and safety challenges and issues at construction sites in addition to project planning approvals.

Al Wa’ab City is one of the first family-planned community and multi-use development strategically located along one of the main arterial roads of Doha, in close proximity to few major academic institutions and sporting amenities. On completion, Al Wa’ab City will house a population of 8000 with nearly 2000 residential units. The development spreads over an area of 1.25mn square meters with about 10,700 underground parking amenities.
