Mowasalat unveils second phase of Karwa City
Mowasalat has unveiled the second phase of its Karwa City project, set up in the Industrial Area.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Qatar Real Estate and Investment Company (QREIC) and Mowasalat.
The second phase includes accommodations for more than 6000 employees, a state-of-the-art driving school, and other amenities.
Mowasalat Chairman and Managing Director, Jassim Saif Al Sulati, when speaking to the media, said that ten housing units would be constructed on a 40,000 square meter area, within a total built up area of 70,000 square meters.
The current driving school functioning at the premises of Karwa City would be upgraded. The driving school which currently has the capacity to train 1000 people will be increased to 2200, as part of the second phase. On completion, the school is hoped to be one of the most advanced and sophisticated facility in the region.
The second phase of the project is likely to cost about QR250mn. The construction is hoped to be complete by 22 months.
Other amenities within the Karwa City would be a spacious parking sufficient to hold several taxis and buses, shopping complex, play grounds, restaurants, green areas, mosques and other necessary amenities.
Constructions of the second phase will be carried out by Al Sraiya Trading and Contracting Company, part of Al Sraiya Holding Group.
