Qatar-Bahrain Causeway to be ready by 2013
The Chairman of Qatar-Bahrain Causeway Foundation, HE Ambassador Ahmed Hassan Al-Hammadi, revealed that the world longest bridge linking Qatar and Bahrain will be one of the most vital urban projects in the region.
The bridge will be a major factor in strengthening the economic development and social ties between the two nations, and GCC states in particular.
Al-Hammadi, who was speaking during a lecture at the Centre of Information Affairs in Abu Dhabi, said that the geological and maritime survey has commenced already, and the implementation stage will commence next January.
The giant project is likely to be complete by the year 2013, he confirmed.
