Qatari Diar, Barwa properties on display at Q-REX 2010

The Fifth edition of Qatar International Real Estate and Investment Exhibition (Q-REX 2010) was unveiled at the Doha Exhibition Center, with several local, regional and international property developers participating in the event.

The three day event was inaugurated by the Minister of State for International Co-operation and Acting Minister for Business and Trade, Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah, wherein miniature models of almost all major real estate development projects in Qatar are on display.

Just after launching the event, the Minister together with representatives of the participating firms, went on inspection of properties on the display.

There are about 100 property developers participating in this year’s event. Among the major properties on the display are the ones by Barwa Real Estate, Qatari Diar and other properties owned by private developers. The major attractions at the expo are, the freehold properties in Europe, particularly those from the Cyprus and the UK.

The participation of international and major regional firms at the event, depict the growing investor confidence in Qatar’s economy, the Minister said, after inaugurating the exhibition.

Just as in previous years, people have re-iterated their faith in real estate activities, as they still consider property investments as a secured, viable investment.
