New Interior Ministry service centre unveiled at Industrial Area

The new service centre of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has been unveiled at the Industrial Area yesterday. The new centre is located close to the Nissan Roundabout.

The new service centre has been unveiled aiming to offer better service to residents and citizens, thereby reducing the rush at the Headquarters of the General Director of Borders Passports and Expatriate Affairs at Al Gharafa district.


The Service Centre covers 10,000 sqm of space. The reception hall has the capacity to accommodate about 400 people, while the centre can complete about 1500 transactions per day.


The Industrial Area service centre will work in two shifts, and will render all the services as offered by the General Directorate of Borders Passports and Expatriate Affairs, said Brig. Mohammed al-Atheeque, Assistant Director General of Borders Passports and Expatriate Affairs.


The new service centre offers Residence Permit renewal facility for those on personal and company sponsorships, submission of visa application for companies and individuals, issuance of establishment ID Card, E-Gov service, exit permit for nationals and expatriates, recruitment application submission, ATM service, E-Cash service, document typing, traffic services, photocopying service, sponsorship change application submission, issuance of PRO card and fingerprint for companies.


More such service centres will be opened by the Interior Ministry at locations such as Umm Salai, Shahaniya, Mukainees, Al Dhaayin during the next few months.
