More public parks and playgrounds in store for Qatar

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning in Qatar has announced plan to establish 38 public parks and playgrounds and go ahead with beautification projects worth a total of QR133mn across various municipalities of the state.

According to Al Khoury, setting up of these parks and playgrounds are inline with the directives of MMUP Minister HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Khalifa Al Thani.


The Director of Public Parks at the MMUP (Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning), Mohammad Ali El Khoury, said the projects will be implemented across 13 parks in Doha Municipality, 2 parks in Al Wakra, 10 parks at Al Rayyan, 3 parks in Umm Salai, 5 in Za’ayen 2 parks in Al Khor and Al Dhakheera and 3 parks in Al Shamal town.
