Ashghal to begin Al Shamal Road Project

Ashghal, the Qatar Public Works Authority, has announced that it will begin work on the third and second phases of the Al Shamal Road Project. This is likely to be one of the biggest projects to be carried out by the authority.

Ashghal recently entered into a QR2.181 billion contract with the construction giant Tekfen of Turkey for the second and third phase developments of the North Road Project.

The project is scheduled for completion within 30 months.

Asghal, however, has confirmed that it will announce alternative diversion before beginning the project and has assured that the traffic will not be disturbed by the work, as there is room for establishing alternative routes.
