Over 40,000 visitors throng the Doha Summer Fun Park

The visitor numbers to Doha Summer Fun Park has crossed 40,000 until two days ago, particularly after the organizers slashed prices for children to enjoy more rides.

The Fun Park continues to draw huge crowds, youngsters and families. The rides offered at the park holds something for one and all. While the older and adventurous visitors are tempted to try the Tagadisco or Crazy Wave, the younger daredevils love their own pirate ship and caterpillar rollercoaster, and more such rides.

With several thrilling rides, such as dodgems and games, the visitors are spoilt for choice at the Doha Summer Fun Park. Kids can also enjoy playing a wide range of video games with an opportunity to win several prizes.

The huge crowds that thronged the park, has prompted organizers to slash prices of amusement rides.

The Qatar Tourism Authority Chairman, Ahmed al-Nuaimi, said that with several visitors thronging the park ever-since its opening last week, a committee has been organized to visit the fun park and assess the rides and entertainment.

The prices of few rides have been reduced from QR15 to QR10, while one ride has dropped from QR10 to QR5. Only five rides are priced at QR15, while majority of the other rides could be enjoyed for QR10 or less. All the kids’ rides have been priced QR5 or QR10.

Apart from pure entertainment, the Fun City also offers a huge shopping experience for residents. There is also a shopping corner at one end of the hall, and the park caters to the needs of one and all.

The QTA Committee has also reviewed the pricing and offering of food at the participating restaurants.

The venue is open from 3pm to midnight on weekdays, while entry is allowed to families only until 1am on Thursdays and Fridays. During Ramadan, the venue will remain open from 8pm to 2am. The fair will remain open until September 14th. There is no entry fee charged.
