Qatar National Identity Card receives international certification
The Interior Ministry has obtained the International Certificate of Compliance to Standards of ID Card from Gemalto, a global company, specialized in printing and issuing smart cards.
The certificate confirms that Qatari National ID Card is a multi-application card that adheres to the general specifications of the smarts cards global platform.
Moreover, the ID card includes state-of-the-art digital security features, and implements utmost secure graphical security features.
The Smart ID Card also adheres to the related standards of ISO, Java Card Standard and International Civil Aviation Organization standards, pertaining to travel documents and smart cards.
