Held under the patronage of the Emir of Qatar, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the 29th edition of Doha International Book Fair was held from 29th November 2018 to 8th December 2018 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre under the theme 'Doha, A City of Knowledge and Conscience'.
Organized by Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Doha International Book Fair is the largest international book fairs in the region, involving widespread participation from various countries around the world. It is a platform to exchange cultural diversity and a space to inspire dialogue and share knowledge. About 427 publishers from 30 Arab and other countries participated in the 10-day fair in 2018. Out of these, there were 287 Arabic book publishers, 68 children’s book publishers and 17 educational book publishers. A total of 25 publishing houses have installed 791 book stalls.
