Qatar to introduce Silatech, a new employment scheme for youth
Qatar, on Tuesday, announced a new employment scheme, namely, 100-million-dollar investment scheme in a new initiative, intended to combat youth unemployment, in the Middle East and North Africa.
The announcement was made by the Alliance of Civilizations Forum, which is a new initiative, intended to promote cross-cultural understanding, by Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned, wife of Emir of Qatar.
She pointed out that high unemployment rate prevails among the people in Middle East and North Africa, adding that, such people would be a terrible mistake in future.
Qatar is putting 100 million dollars into an initiative called Silatech, to combat the problem, by connecting youngsters to business and employment.
“By investing in the youth, we are investing in the security and development of our nations and only secure nations can build alliances on mutual respect and common objectives,” she mentioned.
