Al-Hajri Corporation to recruit 20,000 Indians
An expat businessman, Ravi Pillai, who is also a recipient of this year award for outstanding overseas Indians, said that his company plans to employ about 20,000 Indians within next three months time. Ravi Pillai, is the Managing Director of Nasser S Al-Hajri Corporation (NSHC).
With the economic boom being witnessed in Gulf nations for the next ten years, the growing demand in the construction sector will continue, and to meet this, about 20,000 employees from India will be recruited, out of which 5000 will be Engineers,- said Pillai.
The company has already made its presence in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Saud Arabia. With a staff strength of 35000 (out of which 25000 are Indians), the company is engaged in construction jobs at oil and gas refineries and petrochemical firms.
Pillai said “We employ Indians in all kinds of jobs from welders, fabricators, fitters to engineers, and doctors, as we require people with various skill levels. Skilled manpower in the company gets an average salary of $10,000 a month, which is comparable to the best in the world.”
