Pay hikes announced for govt employees in Qatar
A local Arabic daily reports that the Civil Service Law has been modified to facilitate pay hikes for government employees. The perks and monthly wages of all government employees under categories one to thirteen have been increased.
The Assistant Under-Secretaries and Under Secretaries have been group above Category one, and their basic salaries have been revised to QR22,400 and QR28,000 respectively.
The salary range of category one employees falls between QR16,800 and QR19,600, apart from social allowances.
The Salaries of Category two and three employees have been modified to QR12,600 and QR 11,200 respectively. The starting salaries for category 4 is QR9,100, Category 5 QR7,700; Category 6 QR6,300; Category 7 QR 5,250; Category 8 QR 4,550; Category 9 QR 3,990; Category 10 QR3,430; Category 11 QR2,870; Category 12 QR2,520; Category 13 QR2,100.
