Mowasalat launches E-recruitment system prioritizing Qatarization

Mowasalat Karwa, the public transport company, yesterday announced its E-recruitment system as a part of Qatarisation policy, during a press conference held at the Chopsticks Restaurant, Grand Regency Hotel.

The technology-driven recruitment system inbuilt in the company website www.mowasalat.com, is accessible at any time, 24/7, offering facility for job application to potential candidates, apart from enabling them to track their applications any time.

The Recruitment Manager, Issa Ali, described the system as very user-friendly and precise. It is an efficient system that eliminates the clutter of paper work. With the job-hunters getting very computer savvy, the new e-Recuitment System helps bridge the gap and enhances the process irrespective of whether the applications reside in Qatar or anywhere in the world. Taking into consideration the perspectives of employer and job-hunters, the system has been designed such that it saves time and money, as this being an electronic process does not require physical presence.

Ali said that potential candidates can upload their CVs before submitting them online. Once their requests are uploaded, they can expect two emails in their personal account. The first one will be a confirmation email, wherein the candidates get to know whether their applications fit into the job description or not. The second email conveys the tracking number wherein they get an automatic response.

Priority will be given to Qatari Nationals and then to applicants from within Qatar. Non-Qatari candidates will be selected on the basis of experience. All eligible applicants will have to undergo a six-week training program, including English language and computer skills.
