Qatar Career Fair opens for public from 12th April 2009
The Second edition of Qatar Career Fair (QCF) at the Doha International Exhibition Center will be opened on 12th April.
This five-day event is hoped to attract more than 30,000 visitors, and is meant exclusively for Qatari nationals. According to Abdullah Ahmad Al Mansouri, the General Manager of Qatar Career Fair, about 115 companies, including 16 oil companies have confirmed their participation in the event this time.
According to Mansoori, QCF is a big boost to the Qatarisation Programme. Last year, about 20,000 people visited the career fair, majority of them being fresh graduates and students.
This year, with more than 30,000 visitors, one-day will be exclusively meant for women visitors. The event is hoped to help fresh graduates and students in choosing their ideal career.
The participating companies have been categorized as Diamond, Pearl, Gold, Silver and Bronze Exhibitors. The fair will be segregated into ‘villages’ depending on the sectors such as energy, government, finance, etc. The event will also include special courses and workshops and seminars for developing skills.
The Fair will be open to public on 12th April between 4pm and 8pm. The other days it will be open from 9am to 8pm, and the exclusive women only fair will be held on 15th April between 9am and 3pm.
