New Doha International Airport to generate 50,000 new jobs
The New Doha International Airport will help in generating about 50,000 new jobs, and when completed, the annual passenger handling capacity of the airport will touch a staggering 50million.
These jobs will be managerial, administrative, and operational in nature, revealed Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCA).
According to studies conducted, all three phases of the New Doha International Airport are ready, and 50,000 new jobs would open up soon, the Chairman said.
The first and second phases of the International Airport will open by end of 2011, and thereafter the passenger handling capacity of the airport will be 25million.
The airport will represent a huge picturesque scene, surround by five artificial islands, and 175 check-in counters, among other things.
Being one of the first airports to be designed by the new Airbus A-380, it will be the new home base for Qatar Airways fleet, when it replaces existing Doha International Airport.
