Labour Ministry to receive online applications for recruitment

The Ministry of Labour in Qatar has revealed that private institutions and firms can now apply online directly to recruit expatriate workers, without having to refer to Labour Ministry.

The service permits Recruitment Department of the Labour Ministry to accept recruitment applications from representatives of private firms through email to save time.

The Manager of Recruitment Department of Labour Ministry, Nasser Mahanna Al Mannai, said that the new service is introduced on a trial basis, and the system will be implemented only following three weeks of trial.

The applicants can prepare, certify and scan their documents online and submit them to the relevant e-mail address. The documents, so submitted, will be reviewed by the Recruitment Department to ensure that they are in-line with the online database of the applicant.

The Recruitment Department will process the submitted application forms on the same day or within two days. Any inaccurate data in the recruitment applications will be detected immediately by the Inspection and Recruitment Department.

Recently, the Labour Ministry had also activated an SMS service for seven new online services to facilitate online approval of recruitments.
