Mazaya Qatar awards QR473mn Sinohydro deal for Sidra Village project
Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company has awarded QR473mn worth Sinohydro contract for construction of Sidra Village project.
The signing ceremony at La Cigale Hotel in Doha involved participation of Seraj Al Baket, CEO of Mazaya Qatar, and Wu Wenhao Sinohydro (Gulf) Managing Director. Also present on the occasion were Zhang Zhiliang, Chinese Ambassador to Qatar, Rashid Al Nafisi, Chairman of Al Mazaya Holding and Board Member of Mazaya Qatar, and NAif Al Awadi, CEO of Al Mazaya Holding.
As per the contract, Sinohydro will be responsible for construction and finishing works of the project, with the entire project to be delivered in 20 months. Sidra Village comprises 1165 residential units, with 658 single bedroom apartments, and 507 double bedrooms.
A 20-year Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) deal has been signed with Qatar Foundation to build, and manage Sidra Medical and Research Centre’s residential project.
Speaking about the contract, Wu Wenhao said “We are thrilled to have been chosen for the Sidra Village Residential Project, and proud of the new achievement. We have immense experience in delivering projects on time, and are confident about completing the construction works within scheduled deadline.
