Phase II of Chelsea Development to be purchased by Qatari Diar

The Qatari Diar will purchase Phase Two of Grosvenor Waterside Residential Development in Chelsea, London, from its developer St James, a part of the Berkeley Group, states a news release by the company.

The works on Phase One of the luxury residential development began in the year 2003, and was completed during early 2007. The Phase Two, which is now under construction, is expected to be complete by 2012.

On completion, it will include 355 luxury apartments built to exacting environmental and technical standards and to extremely high specifications with 263 car parking spaces, arranged within three buildings. The site overlooks an historic dock, located adjacent to the embankment in South West London and has been designed by renowned architects.

The CEO of Qatari Diar, Nasser Al Ansari, said the company has the reputation of developing some of the most desirable and exciting residential communities in Qatar and all over the world.

He added that the project marks another milestone by Qatari Diar in London, which will be complemented by their purchase of Chelsea Barracks.

Expressing the company's desire to create a unique community living in London which holds an international repute, Ansari mentioned that the development will create a healthy working and living environment that will enhance the health and well being of one and all.
