QNH launches Twin Hotel Towers in Lusail City
Qatar National Hotels (QNH) Company has revealed the details of its twin hotel towers worth $500m in the Lusail City, due for completion by 2010. The two towers with unique designs will be constructed in the Marina district of Lusail City, located north of Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
The QNH Chairman, Sheikh Nawaf bin Jabor bin Jassim Al Thani, while addressing a press conference at the Al Sharq Village and Spa, said "The Twin Towers represent the next great expansion for QNH in Qatar, increasing the total number of its hotels to thirteen."
The two forty five storey towers will comprise two floors exclusively dedicated to a shopping mall consisting of restaurants, a wide array of luxury shops, and a cinema covering 31,000 square meters in area. The first among the twin tower will house a hotel of 720 king and twin rooms, 16 executive suites, 98 junior suites, an executive lounge and a specialty restaurant. The hotel will have seven-star and five-star facilities at the top and bottom floors. The second tower encompasses single, double and three bedroom serviced apartments facing the sea, and a penthouse on the top floor.
Sheikh Nawaf said "We are always looking for unique and innovative designs and Lusail Twin Towers is a clear example of this, like the Al Sharq Village and Spa."
"The approximate cost of the project is QR1.8bn. However, the actual cost cannot be predicted due to the inflationary situation in the country," he added. The towers are designed by Hadi Samaan, a renowned architect in the US. The construction is expected to begin during the last quarter of this year and will be completed by 2010.
The twin towers are expected to be the largest and most innovative development in Lusail City in the years to come.
