Estate Qatar 2008 to focus on long-term sustainability of real estate sector
The second edition of Estate Qatar 2008: Qatar Property Investment Forum will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on 26th and 27th November 2008, under the patronage of Prime Minister of the State of Qatar, HH Shaikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al Thani.
This year’s property conference is hoped to witness about 500 or more participants from leading regional and international real estate, investment and finance companies.
The conference this year is held at a time when there is a growing concern about the sustainability of property market, and its long-term growth, said Chadi Abou Daher, Regional Manager, World Trade Center Doha.
Estate Qatar 2008 offers a timely perspective of the current status and the future of the region’s property market. In over two days, industry experts and CEOs and leaders would debate the future of real estate developments and finances in wake of the latest financial crisis sweeping the world markets.
The Forum will be sponsored by major drivers in the real estate sector of the region, including real estate developers, investment funds, government authorities, financial institutions and the media.
Estate Qatar 2008 will focus on diverse topics such as the challenges faced when financing real estate projects, sustaining real estate growth amidst global financial turmoil, exploring alternative finance schemes, suggesting possible strategies for financiers and developers in times of crisis.
Estate Qatar 2008 will also hold the “CEO Debate Session”, due to be held on the second day of the forum. This session will bring together leading CEOs of real estate industry to discuss possible alternative strategies and industries issues. The participants will share their personal experience, and throw light on the future of region’s real estate developments and opportunities. The First edition of Estate Qatar 2007 saw renowned participants and speakers from across the region, America and Europe. The success of the second edition confirms the importance of such specialized Forums in accompanying the real estate boom in Qatar, and the patronage of H.H. the Prime Minister of Qatar at the Forum, emphasizes the support from the government for such specialized events that raise the status of Qatar, said Abu Daher.
