Barwa announces latest updates of Barwa Housing Program

Barwa, one of the premier organizations in Qatar, announced its latest updates about the recent developments of its Barwa Housing Program during a press conference held for this purpose.

The President of Strategy and Investment, BARWA Real Estate, announced that they have organized site visits for Musaimeer tenants. This move is intended towards keeping the tenants aware about their status quo of the site, allowing them to closely inspect the units of the project, which is vital in facilitating their decision-making process about signing the lease contract.

The tenants will be contacted through emails and SMS messages and phone calls to notify regarding their dates and schedule of visits. Each tenant will be handed over a press kit with project details and the list of documents required to be submitted when signing the contract.

The site visit program arranged by Barwa includes inspection of the three bedroom and double bedroom apartments that form the main components of the development. This visit would enable tenants to inspect even the minutest detail of the apartment.

Barwa Housing Program is located in two separate areas – one in West Al Saliya and the other at Musaimeer in South Doha. A total of 1984 housing units are constructed in the two locations.

The Mesaimeer area will have 992 double bedroom and triple bedroom apartments that are getting ready for occupation. The delivery of these units will happen in January 2009. The Barwa Housing Program at Musaimeer can be accessed through road to the city of Alwakra or by way of road of the Industrial City.

The allotment of houses in Al Saliya will happen only towards middle of next year, due to delay in project constructions caused by shortage of building materials.

The projects are equipped with a range of amenities such as gymnasiums, club house, multi-purpose halls, games rooms and two courts for basketball, swimming pools, tennis, a nursery and commercial shops. Each site of the project includes pharmacy, laundry, supermarket, café, barber shop, nursery and an administrative building.

The project is unique due to its specially designed ground floor apartments for people with special needs, in addition to the Mosque, internal gardens, wide spaces for car parking, and recreational amenities to enrich the general view. The dates for signing of lease contracts with the tenants are scheduled from 15th to 25th December 2008 beginning 7.30am to 2.30pm. The tenants would be contacted between 30th November and 4th December to confirm their date of signing of contract.

Barwa Housing Program is a contribution made by Barwa to tackle the high inflation that Qatar is experiencing, and to soften the housing crisis and high housing rents witnessed stupendous economic growth in Qatar.

This program, in particular, aims to offer quality homes with rents much lower than the average market rents, thereby enabling the middle income sector to live in distinguished homes.
