Barwa, Qatari Diar sign deal with Projacs
Barwa and Qatari Diar Research Institute (BQDRI), has announced signing of a deal with Projacs International, the pioneer Arab company specialized in Project/Construction Management and Training fields, for entering into a strong partnership that aims to support the implementation of sustainability practices by adopting the Qatar Sustainability Assessment System (QSAS).
The occasion was held during a press conference in conjunction with Meed Green Building and Sustainability Confeence at the Address Hotel at Dubai Marina. The agreement was signed by Dr.Youssef Mohammed Al Horr, BQDRI Chairman and Managing Director, and Ashraf Al Garf, the Deputy CEO of Projacs International Company.
The MoU is hoped to promote other companies and property developers in adopting QSAS, apart from building a strong strategic bond between the two companies.
Projacs, in association with BQDRI will promote QSAS to various real estate companies, similar to what was done by Barwa Real Estate and Qatari Diar, in order to preserve the environment and adopt green building strategies in new projects.
BQDRI aims to attract leading institutions to co-operate in delivering consultancy services and educational programmes directly pertaining to sustainability and its practices.
Dr. Youssef Al Horr said that this deal with Projacs will unveil new horizons of business and development to achieve our motives and such a great partnership will add great value what BQDRI has done. We work to build qualitative initiatives to lead the real estate development in Qatar and the region, and to encourage all building professionals in Qatar by offering them the required tools for implementing the concept of sustainability.
This deal with BQDRI marks a qualitative step ahead for real estate sector in Qatar and the region. The presence of Projacs in several nations will help in introducing QSAS to the world and adopting it as one of the leading global assessment systems that meet the needs of the region, said Ashraf Al Garf.
With its wide and diversified service in training, development and management, Projacs will help in offering additional means to improve awareness in QSAS.
