Barwa, Diar, Dohaland step in as partners, sponsors of QREX 2010

Qatar will unveil the fifth edition Qatar International Real Estate and Investment Exhibition (QREX 2010) at the Doha Exhibition Center, due to be held from 3rd to 6th March.

Barwa Real Estate and Qatari Diar have agreed to be the strategic partners of the exhibition, while Dohaland, the subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, will be the official sponsor of the event, which has received an overwhelming response from key players in the industry. Among the other sponsors are the First Qatar, Pearl Qatar and The Land.

Organized by Trans Continent, about 25 nations are likely to participate in the event, held under the patronage of Minister of State for International Co-operation and Acting Minister of Business and Trade, Dr. Khalid bin Mohamad Al-Attiyah.

According to Nidal al-Halabi, the General Manager at the exhibition, the response from companies is beyond expectation, despite the global recession which has affected the property sector across the globe, including GCC and Arab world.

Al-Halabi revealed that major companies from Asia, Europe, and Arab world are participating in the four-day event.

According to Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al-Thani, the Communication Affairs Director at Barwa, that QRex offers all the participating companies a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and challenges.

The Media Director at UDC (developers of the Pearl Qatar), Hala Nasreddine, said that the unique project has drawn several investors from a host of nations. The Pearl-Qatar will be ready by 2013, she confirmed.

Last year's Q-REX drew about 25,000 visitor numbers and 100 participants.
