Infrastructure works on Lusail City project nears completion
The Al Jaber Group of Companies (AJC), based in Abu Dhabi, also one of the leading infrastructure and energy contractors is almost completing its major Lusail City Development Project.
The QR1.8bn worth project, which began in May 2008, is on schedule for completion within 43 months. Lusail has so far been awarded one of the highest safety certificates for completion of more than 90,00,000 without any incident of accidents, which has helped in keeping up the safety record of Al Jaber and Partners untarnished in the region.
The Business Development Manager for Al Jaber & Partners, Eng. Ammar Ammar, mentioned that the company’s efficient project management and planning systems has helped in maintaining the quality standard of the project, due to the special process adopted by the company ‘BIRFT – Build It Right First Time’.
The Lusail project is a testament to the ability of Al Jaber & Partners in managing vast complex projects successfully, he added.
Lusail City is a ‘dream come true’ project for Qatar, which aims to attract nearly 80,000 visitors, 200000 residents and 170,000 workers on completion.
Spreading across 37 square kilometres of waterfront area, Lusail city is divided into 19 integrated and diverse mixed-use districts, apart from a range of community facilities from shopping malls to schools and hospitals, and sports and cultural amenities.
Lusail is an ultra-modern,but, traditional future environmentally sustainable city.
