The Gulf English School

The Gulf English School founded in 1993 to meet the need for an educational facility which would provide a broad and balanced curriculum based on the English National Curriculum and also offer an Arabic Language and Islamic Studies programme as authorized by the Supreme Education Council.

The school is housed in modern purpose built facilities of a coeducational programme up until Year Five and a segregated programme from Year Six onwards.

From a small beginning in two villas, the school has rapidly developed and now occupies two large modern purpose built premises with all facilities available to educate students to a high standard. The Gulf English School is the first school and only school in Doha offering BTEC programme as an alternative pathway for IGCSE students and AS-level students. They became members of BSME in 2005 and also IB accredited and in 2012 - became CIS (Council of International Schools) accredited.

The Gulf English School only employs fully qualified teachers of the highest calibre from all over the world. All teachers are fluent and competent English speakers who are experts in their particular field of knowledge and skills.

The Infant School is housed in a two storey purpose built building, which provides a very pleasant environment for both staff and children. The infant building consists of 19 classrooms; each classroom is equipped with networked computers, an outside playground, and facilities for music practice, library and computer lab.

The Primary School is housed in a larger two storey building including classrooms with interactive whiteboards, multipurpose hall, Junior Library, swimming pool, ICT lab, art studio, music room and cafeteria.

The Secondary School building is the E shape building which includes classrooms, a library, three science labs, two ICT labs, large multi-purpose hall, large swimming pool, two art studios, Gymnasium and FIFA approved, astroturf, mid-size, floodlit, multi-sport pitches
