Al Shaqab Ramadan Camp 2019

Al Shaqab, Member of Qatar Foundation, will be organising the sixth edition of its annual Ramadan Camp from May 18-30.

The camp aims to provide more opportunities for kids to participate in equestrian sport and learn basics of it. Children will be divided into two groups according to their age. The first group will have children aged three to seven years. They will be taught various arts and craft activities besides equestrian lessons. While the older group, which will have members from eight to 17 years of age, will be imparted lessons in horse riding, balance and feeding.

Two sessions will be held every day, making it more convenient for families and those attending.
The first session will begin at 2.30 pm and will run until 5pm, while the next session will be held from 9pm to 1130pm. Classes will be held from Saturday to Thursday, with students receiving six lessons over the course of the week in which they are enrolled.

An advantage for parents or family members is that they will be able to enjoy light workouts while children are taking part in the camp, with provision having been made for exercising on treadmills and cycles, and also walking within the Al Shaqab Indoor Arena.

This camp will be the first crucial step to allow trainees to take a closer look at the equestrian world and acquire the first-hand experience about it.
