Smart Kids Scholastic Academy (SKS), an online educational platform for kids aged 2 to 10, was launched in Qatar during a virtual Open Day.
The educational platform has begun teaching on October 19. This aims to be the first Nigerian Indigenous Online School, intends to provide world-class online education for growing kids within the comfort of their homes.
It offers the internationally recognized British Edexcel curriculum with students in Nursery (2-4 years), Lower Primary (5-7 years), and Upper Primary (8-10+ years). The tuition fees range from QR874 for nursery kids, QR1747 for lower primary, and QR2620 for upper primary.
SKS boasts nine teachers from Nigeria, Pakistan, Jordan, Zimbabwe, and India. It will offer classes in Maths, Literacy, Science, Computing, Social Studies, and History. Other subjects are Geography, Civic Education, Physical Education, Language, Arts & Crafts, Quran & Islamic Studies, and Christian Religious Knowledge.
One of the directors of the educational platform, Ajayi-Ibraheem said during the virtual event: “Most parents don’t understand the concept of homeschooling, so they end up doing that to their kids but without the right curriculum. If not done properly, poor homeschooling can affect a child’s growth and the parent’s mental health, so at SKS, we provide the right curriculum to ensure parents get the process right.”
“We follow a proper curriculum in the British Edexcel Curriculum. Hence, the certificates will be recognized worldwide,” she added.
