Qatar will open a new COVID-19 vaccination centre in Doha’s Industrial Area on Monday, bringing the number of specialised inoculation facilities so far in the country to four.

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that Vaccination Center Industrial Area has been established at the previous Medical Commission facility and is the result of a collaboration between the Ministry of Public Health, Hamad Medical Corporation and Qatar Charity, with support from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and ConocoPhillips-Qatar.
HE Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health, on Sunday visited the new Covid-19 vaccination center in the Doha Industrial Area, which is due to open on Monday 12th April.
“This centre will provide the first and second doses of the vaccines to the priority groups according to the national standards,” HE Dr Kuwari said.
“The opening of the centre will enable us to continue expanding the national programme for vaccination against COVID-19, through which more than 1.079 million doses have been given so far.”
The vaccination centre will open six days a week from 7 am to 7 pm and operate on a strict invite-only basis for the following priority groups:
• People 40 years of age and above regardless of their health conditions
• People with moderate chronic medical conditions
• Key workers in different industries
