Qatar Cabinet allows theatres, gyms, hair salons to reopen for fully vaccinated people. The approval comes two days ahead of rolling out the first phase of easing covid curbs.

As the COVID-19 vaccine rollout gains momentum, Qatar is planning a gradual return to normal, letting people back into theatres, gyms, shops and salons after more than a year of on-off lockdowns.
Qatar's Cabinet approved theatres, gyms, beauty parlours, hair salons and massage and bath services to resume operations at 30 percent capacity but only for customers who have taken the full doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Cabinet also allowed up to five fully-vaccinated people to gather indoors and up to 10 fully-vaccinated people to assemble outdoors. Up to five unvaccinated people can gather outdoors.
The Cabinet decision will come into effect from Friday, May 28.
