Hotel quarantine of varying durations would be applicable to travellers — including fully vaccinated residents — from India and some other countries from August 2, the Indian Embassy in Qatar announced on Friday.
The embassy in a series of tweets said fully-vaccinated residents from India would have to undergo two days of hotel quarantine upon arrival in Qatar. They will have to undergo an RTPCR test on the second day and would be allowed to go home if the test returned negative.
This also applies to resident-permit holders recovered from COVID-19 in Qatar. There has been no official announcement in this regard from authorities in Qatar.
Residents who are vaccinated or recovered outside Qatar, or are not vaccinated, will have to undergo 10 days of compulsory hotel quarantine, the embassy said.
“Visitors vaccinated outside Qatar with an MOPH recognized vaccine will also have to undergo 10 days of compulsory hotel quarantine. Visitors who are not vaccinated are not allowed entry to Qatar.”
