Qatar provides 50,000 doses of Sinovac COVID vaccine to Philippines

Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has provided financial support to the Philippines to purchase 50,000 doses of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine.
QFFD Director-General Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari said this support is a confirmation of Qatar's effective role and its efforts to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This assistance provided by Qatar to brotherly and friendly countries comes within the framework of the efforts made to combat the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which poses a common threat to the whole world.
For his part, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines HE Dr Ali bin Ibrahim Al Malki explained that this aid comes within the framework of humanitarian work, the extended Qatari giving to relief friends in the Philippines, and a commitment from Qatar to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the health crisis and strengthen international efforts in the field of emergency aid.
