Qatar updates green, red and exceptional lists
Qatar has updated its green, red and exceptional red lists it uses to categorise countries based on its COVID-19 risk assessment.

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has updated the classification of countries based on the level of Covid-19 risk.

The Ministry stated that the update in the Green and Red List will take effect from January 30, 2022.
Philippines, which was moved to red in the last update is back to exceptional red list in the current list.

Based on the latest update, the number of countries in the Green List has decreased to 117 countries, from a total of 143 countries.

The Exceptional Red List has been decreased from nine countries to six. To date, this list includes Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Philippines.

Citizens, GCC citizens, and residents of Qatar aged 12 years and above coming from red countries and are fully vaccinated, inside or outside Qatar, by a vaccine approved by the Ministry of Public Health, or who have a conditionally approved vaccine, or who have recovered from COVID-19 inside Qatar and 14 days have passed from the date of recovery will be exempted from home quarantine upon arrival in the country after a negative PCR test result.

Children aged 11 years and below accompanied by one or both of their parents/family members who are fully vaccinated.
