Face masks will no longer be compulsory in most closed settings from Thursday, the Qatar Cabinet has announced.
As per the Cabinet decision, the latest round of relaxations will be implemented on September 1, when masks will not be mandatory in closed spaces, except for in health facilities and in public transport vehicles.
All public-facing employees whose nature of work requires them to be in closed places must wear masks during their work hours.
The decisions were taken during the regular Cabinetmeeting chaired by the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.
