The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) announced that the 10th edition of Katara Traditional Dhow Festival will begin on December 1, 2020, and continue until December 5.

The 10th edition of the traditional dhow festival is set to kick off on December 1, Katara has announced.
It will run until December 5, and you can expect plenty of cultural activities, competitions, traditional marine performances and events that reflect the heritage of Qatar's ancestors, in order to revive and preserve Qatar's centuries-old maritime heritage.
Katara said that the festival's activities include exhibitions of the maritime heritage collections of the participating countries, special pavilions for traditional handicrafts, and workshops for making ships and ancient maritime crafts, as well as the heritage marine competitions that will be held on Katara Beach throughout the days of the festival, including (Shoush, Haddaq, and Tafrees).
The festival will also see the participation of the Omani folk troupe that will perform its artistic performances during the morning and evening periods throughout the festival.
Planning on checking it out? The festival will be held between 9am and noon, then from 3.30pm until 10pm on Tuesday to Thursday, and on Saturday. On Friday, it will be held from 3.30pm until 11pm.
