Katara Eid activities conclude on a high note

The curtain came down on Thursday for the activities organised by Katara to celebrate this year's Eid Al-Fitr.

The closing day witnessed thousands of visitors enjoying an array of entertainment programmes organised by Katara, including for families, children and other members of society.

The fireworks presented on the opening day Eid activities caught the attention of the audience and will remain in their memories.

Art and culture lovers too will have fond memories of the experience at Katara long after the Eid celebration.

On the closing day, an atmosphere of joy prevailed in the streets of Katara with the continued distribution of Eid gifts to children who were accompanied by their families, relatives and friends.

The water games at Katara Beach also received a remarkable turnout from swimming enthusiasts who were keen to practise their hobbies with their family members in a friendly atmosphere that reflects the happiness of everyone spending the Eid vacation together.

The artistic performances presented by five popular groups from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco and Syria were admired by a large audience of citizens and residents of different ages and groups.

Salem Mabkhout Al Marri, director of Public Relations and Communication at Katara, expressed his happiness with the resounding success of the activities and the great public turnout recorded by Katara on the blessed Eid Al-Fitr celebration.

He praised the high-level cooperation shown by the public during their presence in Katara and their attendance of various events.

Children will be on a date with a theatrical show from May 10 to 14.

The theatrical show, written by Jassim Al Jalahma and directed by Abdullah Al Badr, features a group of prominent artistes, including Ahmed Iraj, Zahra Arafat, Muhammad Al Ramadan, Iman Al Hussaini and Qatari artiste Abdul Hamid Al Sharshani. It is produced by Ahmed Al Awanan and Fahd Al Bannai.
