Katara to launch Mahaseel Festival on Thursday

The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) is preparing to launch the seventh edition of the Mahaseel Festival on Thursday (January 19, 2023), which will be held on the southern side of Katara in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality.

Over the years, Mahaseel has become an ideal marketing platform, in which the finest crops and fresh Qatari agricultural products produced by Qatari companies and the yields of national farms are presented in addition to sheep meat, poultry, birds, nurseries, flowers and ornamental plants for home gardens.

The Mahaseel Festival will see participation by 28 local farms, six national companies specialising in poultry, meat and dairy, two companies for dates and honey, and eight nurseries, as well as shops selling popular food.

The festival will run daily until January 28, while the market will continue after that every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until the end of March, from 9am to 9pm.

Salman Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Festival, said that the Festival has proven its importance in supporting and promoting Qatari agricultural and food products that provide the highest quality standards. He added that this year, he will resume his accompanying activities, such as technical workshops and others, all the workshops and technical activities that used to accompany the market every year.
