The 2nd edition of Katara Arabian Horse Festival kicked off to a grand start at Katara Beach on 2nd February.

The 2nd edition of Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF 2022) was officially kicked off yesterday at Katara Esplanade amidst a distinctive heritage atmosphere that boasts of originality and equestrianism.
KIAHF is organized by the Cultural Village Foundation -Katara in association with Qatar Equestrian Federation, Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club, and Qatar Foundation.
The 11-day festival which will run until February 12 was inaugurated by Prof Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) and the KIAHF Chairman of the Organising Committee, along with dignitaries.
KIAHF 2022 carries total prize money of QR17,083,500 and has the participation of 11 countries from the Arab region, Europe and USA.
The pristine purebreds showcased are admired by passionate connoisseurs, horse owners and breeders, and horse lovers.
The picturesque venue with Bedouin-style canopies by the sea provides for a striking combine at Katara Esplanade.
Fun and entertainment for families have also been organised including a large number of festival-related activities like Live Painting; Horse Arts Exhibition; Photos Exhibition; Pony ride for kids; Amiri Horse Show; Horse jigsaw puzzles; 3D painting; Fine Arts Competition; Storytelling about the legend of horses from Arabic heritage; Arabic music instrumental (street art); Arts Auction; and the launch of two new books on horses.
