The great monthly event is scheduled for June. Paddling festival in Al Thakhira mangroves is probably one of the best outdoor experiences you can get in Qatar! This month is already much more special as it is a full moon this week. You can invite your friends and you can socialize and there are several extra activities are planned. Don't miss it, wind and tides conditions are perfect!
Meeting time is 3:00 PM at Al Meera Al Thakhira, from where you head deep into the desert of Al Thakhira. Before going into the kayaks, they will provide certified lifejackets, as well as, a mandatory paddling lesson. After which, the organizers will assist you to launch kayaks from the beach (you can ride a single or a double). They will take you in the mangroves channel where you will be given a tour about the area, its history, and significance of mangroves in the ecosystem. In the end, we will head back to the beach as we catch the full moon rising above the purple sky; as well as, the sun going down.
