The Cultural Village Foundation – Katara provides an exceptional experience to visitors through the Al Thuraya Planetarium which offers a variety of documentaries and movies for children in both Arabic and English to enrich their knowledge about the space and different galaxies in the universe.
Movies such as the “Universe” and “The Astronaut” have attracted a wide range of visitors from different age groups where they were introduced to the space science and the world of astronomy in brilliant 3D and 4D shows.
The facility opened in December 2018 and was named after Thuraya (Seven Sisters) – a cluster of seven bright stars known as ‘The Pleiades M45. It has become one of the main attractions at Katara.
