Autism Vibes

Autism Vibes is a community sport event aiming to raise awareness of autism in Qatar, provide community with educational information on the cause, and allow parents of children with ASD to connect with other families dealing with the same challenges. The event will include fun and ability-friendly sport activities and games for children as well as a walk together for autism.

According to the recent statistics there are 6,000 children aged from 3 to 16 years old who were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Some of the challenges autistic kids are dealing with are social interactions, verbal and non-verbal communication, strong obsessions with certain topics and repetitive ritualistic behaviors. Autistic children can be fully integrated into the community and live normal independent life as adults. The goal of Autism Vibe is to spread awareness in the society so we can help those children feel welcome among us, help them grow and succeed.
