Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) warned investors against dealing with suspicious companies.
In a tweet, QFMA said it had noticed repeated advertisements for companies calling and promoting saving and investment to obtain profits.
To avoid fraudulent operations, the authority warned the investors against dealing with such companies without assuring that they have the required licenses from relevant authorities in the country.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued Amiri decision no. 19 of 2023 appointing Tamy Ahmed Ali Al Boutamy Al Binali as CEO of Qatar Financial Markets Authority.
The decision is effective starting from the date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.
