Amir holds talks with president of Malta

Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and President of the Republic of Malta Dr. George Vella attended talks sessions in the Amri Diwan this morning.

During the session, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of supporting and developing these relations, particularly in investment, education, culture and tourism spheres, in addition to discussing a range of regional and international issues of common interest.

On this occasion, HH The Amir hosted a lunch banquet in honor of the Maltese President and his accompanying delegation. The President of the Republic of Malta had earlier arrived at the Amiri Diwan, where he was accorded an official reception ceremony.

Meanwhile, President of Malta, his wife, and the accompanying delegation visited on Sunday the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ), as part of his visit to the country.

During the visit, His Excellency was briefed on NMoQ's most important holdings and heard a detailed explanation of the museum's precious items from HE Deputy CEO of Museums and Director of National Museum of Qatar Sheikha Amna bint Abdulaziz Al-Thani.

His Excellency also toured the galleries that introduce the lives of the people of Qatar on land and coasts, and the traditional architecture of Qatar.
